By implementing a token ecosystem based on OSHI, players (fans) will be able to enjoy the game for years to come while supporting their favorite characters with tokens.
In the current market, there are a variety of fan activities for different people to engage in. Some fans ‘support’ their favorite stars by joining clubs or buying themed goods. Some try to ‘feel’ close to their favorites by attending live events or traveling to certain real-world locations. Some will ‘decorate’ their rooms with merchandise to bring those stars into their lives.
By combining these kinds of fan activities with blockchain technology and content platforms like games, they can be expanded to include activities such as “creating,” “choosing,” “collecting,” and “expanding” in the digital space. For example, users are encouraged to ‘create’ their favorite characters within the game, ‘choose’ options in in-game voting events, and ‘collect’ characters to expand their roster by 'trading' with other players.
OSHI3 (OSHI Concept Plan) emphasizes fan activities such as these and seeks to expand them across the domestic and international content markets.
Under OSHI3 (OSHI Concept Plan), the token will be used across multiple partnered games as well as various types of content outside of gaming. This is a new token structure for the industry that aims to ensure token prices are not overly dependent on the in-game ecosystem. Specifically, the following content is planned to be implemented:
OSHI holders will be able to vote in game-related polls by sending their tokens to the corresponding wallet addresses. These polls will influence new characters to be added to the game, who will be featured in character events or real-life goods, and more. If enough tokens are contributed, these new characters may be added to the game, real-life goods may be produced for them, etc.
In addition, contributors will be ranked by the number of tokens sent, with top contributors having their names displayed to show off their fandom to the world. Top-ranked contributors may also receive special benefits like priority in purchasing new characters, access to events, and more.
In the past, only management had an idea of how many people donated how much, and if stated donations were real or not. However, the blockchain makes this information openly available, guaranteeing transparency. In addition, the intended purpose of sent OSHI will be publicly disclosed in advance, so players (fans) can be sure their contributions are going to the right place.
The token is a global payment method that allows overseas fans to easily participate in and support Japanese projects simply by holding tokens. There are also plans to use the fan token system in the future for projects like crowdfunding and popularity polls.
A web store will be made available where OSHI can be used to purchase limited edition artwork from related content and collaborating IPs, as well as items that can be used in games and other content. Each is planned to be a limited edition item with a fixed number available for sale.
In the future, we are considering implementing a marketplace where users can trade OSHI-related items among themselves.
There are OSHI3 (OSHI Concept Plan) to implement minigame-like features that allow you to communicate and spend time with your favorite characters. In addition to the system that allows players to export NFTs of characters who appear in partnered games, we are also looking to realize a system that allows users to purchase NFTs of characters from other IPs, owned by companies that support this project, and interact with them outside the games.
Players can increase their favorability with characters by interacting with them in-game. With a high enough favorability, fans can receive art, goods, in-game items, and other benefits they can enjoy in addition to the interactions themselves. Favorability can be increased more efficiently with special items that can be purchased with OSHI.
